Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Walsh was the manager of the Louisville Eclipse of the American Association during the 1884 season, leading them to a third-place finish. Before and after that, he was a major league umpire, and one of the busiest ones of his time as he worked a total of 304 games in total. He started out in the National Association in 1875, then transitioned to the National League during its original season in 1876, started working American Association games in 1882, when that circuit started, and worked his final one in 1888.
